Today is the day…

Wednesday, July 6th…

Today, me and my partner’s hard work will come to fruition. Beyond that, the hard work of my students, which is the most important and most impressive, will also come to fruition. Their grit, perseverance, diligence, and commitment has inspired me so much. Today, they take their CRCT tests. This is their opportunity to get out of summer school and into high school. They have pushed themselves so hard this summer; we all have. I have full faith that they will rock it like I know they can,

but still, I have to ask for all of you to keep them in your thoughts and maybe cross some fingers.

I have grown to love these kids. Every single one of them, even the ones who push my buttons. We’ve become a family, albeit a dysfunctional one. I know each one of their strengths and each one of their weaknesses. But I also know that each one of them has so much potential.

That potential will only continue to flourish…

today will be a good day for them.

I know it.
